STAGE AND TECH TEAM
Peter Webb
Robert Sharp
My name is Peter and I am currently the Group Treasurer, also providing support for technical and construction purposes.
I have been involved with the Group since it’s very first performance in 1999 when I recorded the performance and provided copies by way of DVDs for sale and record purposes. I have become steadily more involved by way of running the sound system for performances, building sets, transporting and arranging performance support. Additionally I was the Group Secretary before taking on the role of Treasurer some years ago.
I am now retired but previously worked for a large UK Bank producing analysis and reports upon financial performance and have project management training which is useful when supporting the various performances which the group undertakes.
Hi, my name is Rob and I am one of the techies at Ark Drama (specialising in lighting). I joined the group in 2000 and very quickly realised that back stage was where I would rather be! I enjoyed it so much that I went on to study technical theatre at college and then at 18 became the youngest ever full time project team technician at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. Over 10 years on and I have travelled the world with the royal ballet and opera companies. I am still working at the Royal Opera house to this day as their Production Lighting Assistant Manager. I will never forget where it all started and this is why I am always keen to share my experiences and the knowledge I have gained by directly teaching those members of the group that want to learn about the technical side of theatre production.
Ark Drama 2000 has been a part of my life for so long that it feels like we are all one big family, in fact this is even where I met my wife!
Adam Sharp
Hi I’m Adam and I have been a part of Ark Drama 2000 since I was 7. I have always had a strong passion for anything to do with theatre and performance which is what led me to study and gain the qualifications and awards in Musical Theatre, performing arts, Music and Technical Theatre. Now days I am more involved with the technical side of ark, whether that’s is building the sets or helping program and run lighting. The last few years I have been heading up the stage and stepping into my father’s shoes as Ark’s stage manager.
